DOUBTING THOMAS By Gary Toole, The Christian Way Ministries
Of all the disciples there was one doubting Thomas. If he had lived nowadays we would have said, “He must be from Missouri.” Show me! The world is full of doubting Thomas’s. Many like him are Christians; Christians who are of little faith or those that lack in faith. But I guess at times if we will be honest we all have doubt. Besides fear that is another main tool of the devil. I find myself like the man in the Bible that said in Mark 9:24, “Lord, I believe! Help thou my unbelief.” Amen”
They say that worry is a sin and if so then I’m a big sinner, because I worry but not intentionally and I thank God He knows and understands each one of our emotional dispositions. That’s why His mercy supersedes man’s. So, I guess some would say that doubt is a sin and if so I guess this scripture applies here 1st John 2:1, “I would not have you sin, but if you do sin then you have an advocate with the father, Christ Jesus.” We as Christians are not to practice sin, but we do fall short of the glory of God and at times our father may waver and we may have doubt, but I pray, “Lord, forgive me of my short comings and help me to draw closer to you in Jesus name I pray. Amen!”
