VALDOSTA — For one unforgettable Saturday night, downtown Valdosta felt a little more like Southern California in the 1970s.

The historic Patterson was packed with music lovers on Saturday, May 30 as The Long Run, one of the Southeast’s premier Eagles tribute bands, delivered a concert that had fans singing every word, swaying to every harmony, and reliving the soundtrack of a generation.   

From the opening guitar riffs to the final encore, the audience was transported through the Eagles’ legendary catalog. Classics such as Take It Easy, Desperado, Peaceful Easy Feeling, Life in the Fast Lane, and, of course, Hotel California brought cheers from the crowd and plenty of memories to life.

What makes The Long Run special is more than simply playing Eagles songs. The band captures the rich vocal harmonies, soaring guitar work, and polished musicianship that made the Eagles one of the most successful rock bands in history. Their performance recreates the sound and feel of the original recordings while adding enough energy and personality to make the show uniquely their own.

The musicians themselves bring impressive credentials. Members of The Long Run have performed alongside or shared stages with artists including Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Beach Boys, .38 Special, Steppenwolf, Eddie Money, the Doobie Brothers, and Trace Adkins. Their collective experience shows in every note.   

The Patterson proved to be the perfect setting. The beautifully restored South Georgia landmark, known for its soaring ceilings and historic elegance, created an intimate concert atmosphere while still accommodating a large crowd. The next major public event at The Patterson is “Death of a Gangster,” an interactive murder mystery experience scheduled for Saturday, June 27, from 7:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. Guests will step into a 1920s speakeasy setting where two rival mafia families unite for a wedding—until murder strikes. Attendees are encouraged to dress in period attire, channel their inner detective, and help solve the crime.
