This week, I was grateful to be back home in the district and spending time meeting with constituents. I even got to go fishing with my son.
I’m always impressed by the great people and great businesses that call our district home. From meeting with healthcare leaders, to educators, to farmers, we have some of the greatest stories right here in rural Georgia.

Talking with South Georgia State College
Last week I met with South Georgia State College, and the not new but permanently named president, Greg Tanner, and his administration team.
We discussed the many things that South Georgia State is working on, their growing admissions, and their newest opportunities with some agriculture degrees.
Visiting Coffee Regional Medical Center
I also got a chance to talk with leadership at Coffee Regional Medical Center last week and discuss some of their concerns and needs for the community.
We are blessed to have some of the finest medical centers in Georgia’s 8th District and I am always happy to see the great things they are doing to keep our district healthy.
Speaking with Leadership Lowndes Class of 2026
Last Thursday, I was grateful to speak with the Leadership Lowndes class of 2026 at the Boys and Girls Club of Valdosta.
We discussed many topics relevant to our country and our district including the federal role in community advocacy organizations and efforts to combat senior fraud.
Visiting the Children’s Advocacy Center of Lowndes County
Finally, last week, I visited the Children’s Advocacy Center of Lowndes County in Valdosta.
Our CAC’s across south and middle Georgia do critical work to directly support child victims of sexual and physical abuse. I am grateful to the men and women who call this mission their work and are a lifeline to unfortunately so many children and families.

Conversando con South Georgia State College
La semana pasada me reuní con el presidente permanente de South Georgia State College, Greg Tanner, y con su equipo administrativo.
Conversamos sobre los numerosos proyectos en los que trabaja la institución, el crecimiento continuo en el número de estudiantes matriculados y las nuevas oportunidades académicas relacionadas con programas de estudios agrícolas.

Somos afortunados de contar con algunos de los mejores centros médicos del 8.º Distrito de Georgia, y siempre me alegra conocer de primera mano el excelente trabajo que realizan para mantener saludables a nuestras comunidades.
Reunión con la Clase de Leadership Lowndes 2026
El jueves pasado tuve el honor de dirigirme a la Clase 2026 de Leadership Lowndes, reunida en el Boys and Girls Club de Valdosta.

Estoy profundamente agradecido con los hombres y mujeres que han hecho de esta misión su vocación y que representan una verdadera esperanza para tantos niños y familias que enfrentan estas difíciles situaciones.
