Don’t Let Satan Win:  Good News *

             When we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we become new creatures in Christ and the Holy Spirit resides in us. However, our old sinful nature loves to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Holy Spirit wants. These two forces are constantly fighting each other and your choices are never free from this conflict. Let me put it this way; you were born with a hole in your soul that only God can fill and unless you turn to God and build a relationship with Him, you will keep trying to fill that hole with the wrong things.   

Charles Spurgeon said, “If we are not seeking the Lord, the Devil is seeking us.” Moreover, he gets us, when we lower our guard and become complacent. Satan is the author of confusion and lies and will remind us of past failures. He loves to make us feel incompetent, weak and defeated.

Do you feel defeated today? Each day, Satan tries his very best to get the best of us. He tries to win. He wants us to stumble and fall; never will he remind us of our victories or the good things in our lives. However, we must remember he is our enemy and we cannot let him prevail during our day.

When certain circumstances arise that test our spiritual character, we must stand firm in the holiness of God. Each day, I wake up and pray, “Lord, bind Satan from me today. I want You, Lord, to be pleased with me, and I want you to be the ultimate prevailer in my life.”

May I encourage you this week to give all of your struggles to the Lord. Do not let Satan get the best of you. Do not give up on anything that would cause Satan to rejoice at your defeat. When Satan says get mad, you get glad. When he says give up, you keep going. When he says stumble, stand firm in your faith in Jesus. When he tempts you to compromise, commit again to Jesus and His will for your life.

Isaiah 43:18-19 says “Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old; Behold, I will do a new thing; now it spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.”

God  is the creator of all things, and He will provide no matter what your storm may be or what problem you may be facing… no matter how deep the valley you may be in… He is still God… creator and sustainer of all.

Cuando aceptamos a Jesús como nuestro Señor y Salvador, nos convertimos en nuevas criaturas en Cristo y el Espíritu Santo habita en nosotros. Sin embargo, nuestra vieja naturaleza pecaminosa ama hacer el mal, que es justamente lo contrario de lo que desea el Espíritu Santo. Estas dos fuerzas luchan constantemente entre sí, y nuestras decisiones nunca están libres de este conflicto.   

Permítame decirlo de esta manera: usted nació con un vacío en el alma que solo Dios puede llenar. A menos que se vuelva a Dios y construya una relación con Él, seguirá intentando llenar ese vacío con cosas equivocadas.

Charles Spurgeon dijo: “Si no estamos buscando al Señor, el diablo nos está buscando a nosotros”. Además, nos alcanza cuando bajamos la guardia y nos volvemos complacientes. Satanás es el autor de la confusión y de la mentira, y nos recordará nuestros fracasos pasados. Le encanta hacernos sentir incompetentes, débiles y derrotados.

¿Se siente derrotado hoy? Cada día, Satanás hace todo lo posible para sacar ventaja de nosotros. Intenta ganar. Quiere que tropecemos y caigamos; jamás nos recordará nuestras victorias ni las cosas buenas que hay en nuestras vidas. Sin embargo, debemos recordar que él es nuestro enemigo, y no podemos permitir que prevalezca en nuestro día.

Cuando surgen circunstancias que ponen a prueba nuestro carácter espiritual, debemos mantenernos firmes en la santidad de Dios. Cada día, me despierto y oro: “Señor, ata a Satanás lejos de mí hoy. Quiero, Señor, que Tú estés complacido conmigo, y quiero que seas Tú quien prevalezca por completo en mi vida”.

Permítame animarle esta semana a entregar todas sus luchas al Señor. No permita que Satanás saque ventaja de usted. No renuncie a nada que pudiera hacer que Satanás se alegre de su derrota. Cuando Satanás le diga que se enoje, alégrese. Cuando le diga que se rinda, siga adelante. Cuando le diga que tropiece, manténgase firme en su fe en Jesús. Cuando le tiente a ceder, comprométase nuevamente con Jesús y con Su voluntad para su vida.

Isaías 43:18-19 dice: “No os acordéis de las cosas pasadas, ni traigáis a memoria las cosas antiguas. He aquí que yo hago cosa nueva; pronto saldrá a luz; ¿no la conoceréis? Otra vez abriré camino en el desierto, y ríos en la soledad”.

Dios es el creador de todas las cosas, y Él proveerá sin importar cuál sea la tormenta que esté enfrentando o el problema que tenga delante… sin importar cuán profundo sea el valle en el que se encuentre… Él sigue siendo Dios… creador y sustentador de todo.
