So far, Ray City Mayor Brenda Exum gives the appearance that she is against citizens being fully and regularly informed about how the City of Ray City spends taxpayer money. Ray City has roughly about a $1,000,000 budget annually.
NOTE: During August Ray City Council Meetng, Mayor Exum in the middle of saying that she didn’t think that citizens needed to know anything, made a public complaint that the Lanier County News should be writing good stories about Ray CIty. The Lanier County News response was: “Release the information so that we can!”

- Officer Robert Owens reports a green Ford Mustang was stopped on Patten Avenue within the corporate limits of Nashville, Berrien County for failure to stop at a stop sign and defective brake lights. - Officer Stephen Luke reports that e was monitoring traffic on Patten Avenue by Johnsonn Street when he heard a loud car stereo playing from a distance behind him. Officer looked in rear view mirror and saw a while sedan approaching from the rear. The sedan appeared to just pass the apartments in the 400 block of Patten Avenue. - Officer Stephen Luke reports he was traveling south bound on Patten Avenue by Johnson Street when he observed a blue in color sedan traveling north bound, speeding in excess of the posted speed limit. The sedan appeared to be going about 60 MPH in a 45 MPH zone. The driver was discovered to be driving on a suspended license. Offender’s name: Kiani Unique Por Addison (Camellia Drive) (28).
