THE BUCKET LIST, The Christian Way Ministries
By Gary Toole
Years ago all the old sayings got started mostly by the country folks, because what few well off people there were back then, they certainly were not going to stoop to those old country sayings, which most all were Bible based. Based on the wisdom of God.
Now what few sayings they come up with now are certainly not based on God’s word. You can count on that. Most things now is to denounce and defy God’s word. Tell it like it is. So many literally hate the Bible and what it stands for. Even church people and I didn’t say real Christians do not accept God’s word. Oh, they chery pick what they want to believe, but it just don’t work that way. So now through social gossip trash media they make up sayings like, “My bad!”
I refuse to use that, because I ain’t bad. I was bad until Jesus came in.
Then they came with this bucket list and at first I didn’t get it, but of course I learned that they had taken the old saying. “He kicked the bucket,” which means when you die, and I heard that as a boy and I still don’t know where the bucket comes in at. So they came with the bucket list. A list of things you want to do and are going to do before you die or kick the bucket.
Well, that seems innocent enough until you understand the depth of it. The Bible says that none of us have a promise of tomorrow. James 4:14. So with that in mind, we don’t need a bucket list. A bucket list is worthless. Oh they say, “If I live this is what I would like to do.” So we all make plans and plans are fine and goals are fine as long as they are righteous and not sinful, but I like to call them plans. Not a bucket list and plans must always include, “If it be God’s will!”
And as far as my bad. It’s still my mistake anyway you look at it! Thank you and God bless you to be able to learn from your mistakes and hopefully fulfill your plans. So can you say amen?
