GDOT awards two projects in SWGA construction contracts

TIFTON, GeorgiaRecently awarded two projects Georgia Department of Transportation construction contracts include Berrien, Tift and Lowndes Counties.

The largest contract that Georgia DOT awarded on November 18, 2022 was approximately $5.2 million for milling and plant mix resurfacing on State Route 125 from north of the New River Tributary Bridge to Irwin county line. The project was awarded to The East Coast Asphalt, Inc..

A $3.2 million contract will resurface 4.650 miles of milling, inlay and plant mix resurfacing on SR 38 beginning west of Rocky Ford Road (CR 778) and extending east of Jones Street. The contract was awarded to Reames and Son Construction Company, Inc.

Start dates have not been established for any of the contracts and scheduled completion dates are subject to change.
