Is Lanier County Fire Department Services going to cost Lanier County taxpayers more?

LAKELAND, LANIER COUNTY, Georgia – As of Monday, December 2, the Lakeland City and Lanier County Fire Department Services will be separated by the State of Georgia.  This fact has been confirmed by the Georgia Fire Safety Training Council (GFSTC) which supervises all fire department’s abilities to meet fire safety standards – speed in response to fire call, equipment, manpower, etc.  These components make up a “fire suppression” ability of each fire department.
