Have you wondered if you could be implicated in a drug bust?

LANIER COUNTY, Georgia – The Lanier County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) has posted information relating to “YOUR” [fill in the blank with a name] your prescription pill bottle.

In a post on Facebook, Lanier County Sheriff Nick Norton released information that helps citizens understand that they, their name can certainly get connected to meth use.

Drug equipment or paraphernalia is any utensils used to conceal, consume, or produce unlawful drugs. Sometimes trained law enforcement officers are challenged because paraphernalia can be items which are used for some legitimate purpose. When identification becomes a challenge, a person has to look at the context and the manner in which an item has been used or sold.1

Some common items which can be used as drug paraphernalia can include:  spoons, lighters, loose razor blades, mirrors, straws or hollowed ballpoint pens, bongs, shoelaces, elastic lanyards, hair bands, light blubs, tin foil, aluminum cans, hypodermic needles, and sandwich baggies.  To this list, prescription containers are now added.

On Saturday, August 31, Sheriff Norton stated that the LCSO executed a search warrant on that morning.  During the execution of that search warrant, officers found this – ‘YOUR’ favorite meth pipe made from ‘YOUR’ pill bottle with ‘YOUR’ name on it with ‘YOUR’ drugs.

“You can’t make this stuff up,” said Sheriff Norton.
