Vet Team Six is working to Rally Round a Naylor 100% Disabled U.S. Army Vet with a Serious Problem: COMMUNITY HELP NEEDED
By Carol A. Gasser Moore
LOWNDES COUNTY, Georgia – A Naylor 100% disabled U.S. Army Veteran needs community help and Vet Team Six, a nonprofit organization, is working to lead the way. Vet Team Six is working to bring community citizen’s awareness that their support is needed. Vet Team Six is raising much needed funds for Blanche Robinson, a 100% disabled United States Army Veteran living at the end of this 1/2 mile long driveway in Naylor.
Imagine needing emergency assistance while living on a road which is often impassible. Robinson experiences the problem as a 100% disabled Veteran who is living at the end of this 1/2 mile long driveway. When called, what will first responders be able to do when they are needed? Can an ambulance or a fire truck travel the road twice safely while trying to help with an emergency?
This Veteran is sometimes unable to receive needed visits from home health care and or home deliveries. Vet Team Six believes that one way or another, our community must come up with the needed materials and funds to make this project happen.
After a heavy rainfall, sometimes water is as much as two feet deep in a couple of areas along the driveway making the road impassable at times.
All funds raised will be used to purchase fill dirt and materials needed to do necessary repairs.
A conservative estimate to repair this driveway properly with Fill Dirt and Gravel was quoted at $18,000. Any funds raised over the needed amount will be used for monthly maintenance of the driveway.
