VLPRA’s Flags of Freedom Display is featured at Freedom Park Memorial Day

LOWNDES COUNTY, Georgia – Moody Air Force Base’s 23d Maintenance Group has developed a stirring Memorial Day tribute which is worth the time to visit!  The tribute is in the form of a flag display at Freedom Park, Valdosta, and honors Memorial Day 2024.  According to VLPRA (Valdosta Lowndes Parks and Recreation Administration), the patriotic display is a tribute to members of the U.S.A. military – past and present – who sacrificed their lives in active duty serving our nation!  Fifty (50) United States of America (U.S.A.) national flags, one on behalf of each state that makes up the U.S.A. union, have been placed along Freedom Park’s entrance.
