Sachiko Alexander Valdosta, GA 1941 – 2023
Sachiko Alexander, 82, of Valdosta, GA passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2023, at Crestwood Nursing Home of Pruitt Health. Sachiko was born on March 16, 1941 in Tokyo, Japan to Jiro and Yoshiko Yamazaki. Sachiko loved to listen to music especially classical and the oldies. She was a faithful member of Pleasant Way Baptist Church for many years. She spent her life caring for her family and meeting their needs in every way. Her dedication to her personal family and church family spoke volumes of who she was as a person. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her. She is preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband of nearly 54 years, Roy L. Alexander of Valdosta, GA; daughter, Angela Peay and husband Jeffrey of Columbia, SC; son, David Alexander and wife Mara of Reston, VA; three granddaughters, Calla Alexander, Avigaelle Alexander, Sophie Peay; brother, Masaru Yamazaki; and sister, Mitsuko Hashiguchi.
A funeral ceremony will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, June 30, 2023, at Pleasant Way Baptist Church with burial to follow in the cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm on Friday, June 30, 2023 at the church. Kind words and expressions of sympathy can be left for the family at www.musicfuneralservices.com.
