Due to the coronavirus: Postponements/Cancellations – Suggest calling ahead to verify

March 13-15 Merit Badge University scheduled at Camp Patten is cancelled for Boy Scouts.
March 16 Lowndes County Courthouse closed.
March 16-30 Wild Adventures closed
March 16 Valdosta Cinema 16 is closed until further notice.
March 15 Walmart Stores and Neighborhood Markets reduces hours from 6:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m.
March 16 Early voting in person at Lanier (and Lowndes) County Board of Elections Polls is cancelled. Voters can vote absentee ballot through mail.
March 16 – Valdosta Mall is open, but individual stores may be closed, as is the Food Court. A very few food vendors are open for take-out only. Seating areas for food vendors are closed. Call ahead to determine whether a particular store is open.
March 16-April 13 Lanier County School system is closed
March 17-31 Wiregrass Technical College (all campuses) will close.
March 17-30 Valdosta State University suspends all classes.
March 17-30 Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College suspends all classes.
March 18-31 Georgia Military College has closed all campuses to students. Faculty and staff will begin working from home.
March 18-31 South Georgia Regional Library (Main library and all branch libraries including Miller Lakeland Library.
March 19-31 South Health District of Georgia Department of Public Health announces reduction in services. Call ahead to your local health department and check to be certain the service needed is being offered. Essential services include: Essential Services include: STD Testing, Contraception Services, Irregular Breast/Pap Referrals, Women’s Health/Pregnancy Medicaid
March 20 – SGMC-Lanier Campus visitation procedures change. See related article online.
March 23 – Lanier County Sheriff’s Office’s lobby at 63 W. Church St. will be closed
March 24 – Lanier County Superior Court Cancelled
March 30 – May 07 Valdosta State University will resume through on-line classes.
March 30 – May 07 Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College will resume through on-line classes.
March 20 12th Annual Law Enforcement & MADD Volunteer Recognition Banquet postponed.
March 28 Milltown Murals Motorcade and Antique Car Show postponed until fall 2020.
