Former Public Information Officer for the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services, now retired.  Georgia certified teacher, now retired.  Freelance writer – plays, weekly column, short stories, research articles, history, brochures and other mental health literature.  Raised in the Methodist then Presbyterian Churches.  Now an active Catholic at St. Anthony of Padua Church, Ray City, GA.  Founded the Good Shepherd Media LLC in 2019.  Member of Alpha Xi Delta.  Serve on the Lanier County High School Family Consumer Science Advisory Board.  Serve on the Miller Lakeland Library Advisory Board as a representative for the City of Lakeland.

    SOmeone needs to do a story about our new “Wildland Firefighter”. Here are some people that worked with him out west that might give some insiteful information the citizens would love to know.

      We were defrauded over $8k from the Lanier County Wildfire Chief and the Commissioners have accepted no responsibility to date.

      Thank you for requesting answers. The LCN has looked for an avenue of open records which would apply to the unique event. Until now, the LCN had not found one. With your question and revisiting the situation, it is the understanding of the LCN that there are records kept about death, bodies and their dispensation which fall under the governmental realm. With that thought, the LCN has an idea which may allow the LCN to get an answer that it doesn’t currently have now. The LCN will get back to you on it.
