William “Donald” Patten, Sr. – 85
Of Lakeland, GA passed away on October 21, 2019 at his home. He was born on July 30, 1934 in Lakeland, GA to the late John Drawdy,
Jr. and Alene (O’Quinn) Patten. Donald was the owner of Zenith Auction and Realty and was inducted into the Georgia Auctioneer Association Hall of Fame in January of 2019. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister Hilda Ann Patten.
Survivors include: Wife of 65 years, Emma Brown Patten of Lakeland, GA; Daughter and Sons-in-Law, Suzanne and Jerry Mathis of Lakeland, GA, Becky and Gerry Harris of Adel, GA; Sons, William Donald Patten, Jr. (Betty Walden) of Stockbridge, GA, John Randall Patten of Lakeland, GA; Grandchildren; Curt Mathis, Brooke Mathis, Brett Harris (Lindsay), Courtney Holley (Matt), Cody Harris (Amber), John Patten (Kristin), Megan Skinner (Lonnie); Great Grandchildren; Jillian Harris, Maxwell Harris, Harris Holley, Alenea Holley, Patten Holley, Oliver Harris, Olivia Harris; Brother, John Evans Patten of Lakeland, GA; Sister, Lois Nanette Davis of Douglas, GA; Numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 in the First Baptist Church of Lakeland with burial to follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
