Gov. Kemp Announces Walter Rabon Commissioner of the Georgia DNR who had DUI case in 2017

Brian Kemp

Atlanta, GA – Governor Brian P. Kemp today announced that the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Board voted to appoint Walter Rabon as the DNR Commissioner, effective immediately. Rabon has served as Interim Commissioner for the Department since July 1, following the departure of former Commissioner Mark Williams.

“Throughout his many years of service to the State of Georgia and our Department of Natural Resources, Walter Rabon has dedicated himself to the mission of protecting hardworking Georgians and their ability to enjoy our outdoor spaces,” said Governor Brian Kemp. “I look forward to DNR’s continued success ensuring our state is a good steward of its natural resources as he continues to lead the department.”

Walter Rabon currently serves as Interim Commissioner for the Department of Natural Resources. He first began his career with DNR in 1993 as a Conservation Ranger, now referred to as Game Wardens, and worked his way up through the Law Enforcement Division, serving as a Major before becoming Deputy Commissioner. Rabon earned a bachelor’s degree in Public Administration from Brenau University and a master’s degree from Columbus State University. He and his wife have three sons and five grandchildren, and they reside in Mansfield, Georgia.

Rabon in 2017 faced two separate investigations while he was Natural Resources Deputy Commissioner after police said he drove drunk with more than a dozen jars of moonshine in his car. A trooper said Rabon’s eyes were bloodshot and watery and he could smell alcohol on him and he was not wearing any shoes. The police report indicates Rabon said he only had two drinks but the trooper said he blew .146 — well over the legal limit. Troopers say Rabon said he swerved to avoid a deer.

LCN has been unable to determine the outcome of the DUI case. Updates will be posted as we receive them.

I so not understand what taking place with this new government. Trump can run for president even with ll these charges he has against him and now this guy get promoted with a DUI against him!!! Wow, give me a job in the government; I can do just as good of a job of getting in trouble as these guys. If it does nor matter what your background is with the law then it surely should not matter if I don’t have a degree.

In possessions of a dozen jars of moonshine and blowing .146 on breathalyzer, sounds like just the right man to lead DNR. What a joke. I’m curious to know why he was charged by ATF for possession of illegal and untaxed alcohol. Law enforcement cover up at its best. Also what happened to the DUI that just accidentally disappeared. Someone needs to be held accountable for not holding him accountable for breaking Federal and State laws.

He must be a Trump follower, for sure a republican. White privilege at its best.
Try Jesus, I’m Absolutely sure you’ll find him Spectacular. Where has doing the right thing gone? Surely, there’s someone willing to take a stand for TRUTH. If not now, you will pay at the Judgement.

Just like Kemp and the GBI not arresting a so called police officer who name is Andrew Bielecki who worked for Commerce Police Department. He made a fake High School diploma to go through the police academy and was never certified and made over we’ll probably 1,000 arrests in Commerce Police Department. The Governor Kemp and the GBI did nothing except take his certification that he never actually earned and let him go. He violated every oath we have as a State Certified police officer! Not surprised with him!

Kemp has no standing with me. He removes Hill from office for a crime but puts this man in office with a crime. Make this shit make sense
