Nancy H. Beasley Valdosta, GA 1949 – 2023

Nancy H. Beasley, 73, of Valdosta, GA passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2023, at Lakeland Villa Convalescent Center after a lengthy illness. Nancy was born on August 3, 1949, in Sumter, SC to Levy and Evelyn Mcleod Harden. Nancy was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. She loved her family with all her heart, especially her grandchildren, who lovingly called her “Ginny”. During high school, she was a champion tennis player for the Valdosta Wildcats. She met her high school sweetheart there and later married him. Nancy’s favorite place was at the beach with her family. She had a love for gospel and country music and especially anything by George Strait. She enjoyed working in the yard, playing words with friends and would win most of the time. She enjoyed anything that involved being with her family. Nancy had an outgoing, funny personality and never met a stranger. Even in the most difficult times she maintained a positive attitude, never gave up fighting her illness and treated everyone with kindness. She is deeply loved and is already greatly missed. She is preceded in death by her parents, and one granddaughter, Ella Christine Beasley.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, William (Buddy) Beasley of Valdosta, GA; daughter, Michelle Porter and husband Bryan of Valdosta, GA; son, Jon Beasley and wife Penny of Hahira, GA; three grandchildren, Tyler Rogers, Travis Porter and Eli Beasley; one great grandchild, Kensley Rogers.

A funeral ceremony will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at Music Funeral Services Chapel with pastor Matt Gay officiating. Burial will follow in Lake Park cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at the funeral home.
