Annie Vaughn May, age 62 of Nashville, Georgia passed away, Sunday, May 28, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on February 23, 1961, in Lakeland, Georgia to the late Ruby Jones Vaughn and Horace Vaughn, Jr. She was a twister with Shaw Carpet Industries. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. A favorite pastime of hers was visiting and trading at the Lake Park Flea Market and she enjoyed working in her flowers. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Wanda Vaughn, Susan Barber; a granddaughter, Emily Exum, and a son-in-law: Jody Throneberry.
Survivors include her children: Tonya Throneberry of Lakeland, Georgia; a son, David Exum of Nashville, Georgia; four grandchildren: McKenzie, Jessie, Kam, and L. J., and expecting her first great-granddaughter JodiLynn in August; two brothers, Danny Vaughn of Lakeland, Georgia and Ronnie Vaughn and wife Sooty of Tifton, Georgia; special nieces and nephews: Michael and Lisa Fender of Nashville, Georgia, and their children: Bree, Kash, Gloria, Justin, and Taylor.
Graveside Services will be held at 2 o’clock pm, Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at Empire Cemetery. The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the cemetery.
