Andy Eugene Boykin, 56, of Hahira, died on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at his residence following a lengthy illness. He was born in Valdosta on May 21, 1966, to the late Bill and Betty Horne Boykin. Andy was the owner/operator of Boykin Metal Roofing and was of the Baptist faith. He loved playing music on his guitar, watching dirt track racing, fishing for speckled perch, and was a classic car enthusiast.
Andy is survived by his daughter, Abby Boykin, and his son, Andy Boykin II, both of Hahira; his siblings and their spouses, Tony Boykin (Pheobe), Pete and Rachel Boykin, Roger Boykin, Joe Boykin all of Hahira, Amy and Michael Hendley of Tifton; his mother-in-law, Latrelle Browning of Valdosta; brother-in-law, Ashley Browning of Valdosta; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Scott and Charlotte Browning of Morven; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded by his wife, Sharon Browning Boykin; his father-in-law, Henry Browning; brother-in-law, Mike Browning.
Services for Andy Boykin will be held on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the Martin McLane Funeral Home of Hahira. The burial will follow in the Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the Martin McLane Funeral Home.
