James Allen “Skeeter” Bennett Lakeland, GA 1953 – 2023

James Allen “Skeeter” Bennett – age 69, of Lakeland, Georgia passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2023, at his residence. He was born on December 16, 1953, in Hahira, Georgia to Jimmy Bennett and the late Bobbi Wilkes. He served his country in the United States Navy. Allen loved the outdoors, including hunting and fishing, and sharing those special moments with his grandson, Cort. He worked as a commercial truck driver for many years and traveled all over the world. He truly enjoyed driving a semi and loved what he did. He was known for being a great storyteller and making everyone laugh. Along with his mother, he is preceded in death by his grandfather, Ollie Bennett; aunt, Jean Wilkes and his stepmother, Mary Bennett.

Survivors include his daughter, Ashlee Bennett of Quitman, Georgia; son, Shawn Snow and wife Kari of Hahira, Georgia; stepson, J.W. Snow and wife Gena of Quitman, Georgia; grandchildren: Cort Littleton, Grant Snow, Allee Snow, Emily Snow, Tucker Snow, Sierra Snow, Ashton Snow and Caden Snow; brother, Terry Bennett and wife Sherry of Valdosta, Georgia; sister, Pat Buchanan and husband Van of Albany, Georgia; father, Jimmy Bennett of Valdosta, Georgia; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
