James Carroll Felts Jr Naylor, GA 1946 – 2023
James “Jamie” Carroll Felts, Jr. age 76, of Naylor, Georgia passed away on Friday, March 31, 2023, at his residence. He was born on April 16, 1946, in Lakeland, Georgia to the late Elizabeth Giddens Felts and James Carroll Felts, Sr. Jamie was a loving husband, father and brother. He was an avid Alabama fan.. Jamie was an educator with Lanier County Board of Education as the assistant principal at Lanier County High School, Elementary School and principal at the Middle School where he made many life-long friends in the education field; and won a girls State Championship at Brooks County High School in the late 1970’s. Jamie also loved sports of any kind and was a fishing fanatic. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughters, Brittany Ashton Felts, Whitney Marie Felts and a brother-in-law, John Stoner.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda A. Felts of Naylor, Georgia; daughter, Morgan Felts and wife Tiffanie Reker of Atlanta, Georgia; brother, Gene Felts and wife Marcia of Valdosta, Georgia; sister, Carolyn F. Stoner of Jacksonville, Florida; extended family members and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, April 3, 2023, at Music Funeral Services in Valdosta, Georgia.
