David James Kindschy, 86 of Hahira, died on March 27, 2023, in Cook County. Born in Arcadia, Wisconsin, on April 28, 1936, he was the son of the late Ralph C. and Gertrude Becker Kindschy. He managed Popeyes Fried Chicken for 24 years and was chef for the Georgia Sheriff’s Boys Ranch for nearly 9 years, which he said was the best job he ever had. He loved cooking for the boys as much as the boys loved him.
