Eva Nell Jarvis Sparks, GA 1933 – 2023
Mrs. Eva Nell Jarvis, age 89, of Sparks, Georgia, passed away at her daughter’s home in Sparks on March 17, 2023. She was born on November 13, 1933 in Cook County and was the daughter of the late Madison Holland Dukes and Florence Hall Dukes. Mrs. Jarvis retired from Talley-Corbett as a machine operator. She lived most of her life in Cook County and was a member of Adel First Assembly.
Mrs. Jarvis is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Ronald Weeks of Sparks; two sons and a daughter-in-law: Dewayne Jarvis of Waxahachie, Texas, and Ricky and Evelyn Jarvis of Buffalo, Missouri; seven grandchildren and their spouses: Stacey Lovejoy of Panama City, Florida, Sabrina Dean of Buffalo, Missouri, Kelley and Brian Myers of Sparks, Ronnie and Tai Weeks of Sparks, Glinda and Austin Cannon of Doerun, Georgia, Will and Natalie Weeks of Adel, Georgia, and Desiree Lundvall of Colorado; 16 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; and a very special friend, Leslie Walker of Nashville, Georgia. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Willie B. “Bill” Jarvis; a great-granddaughter, Brooklyn Tillman; a brother, Horace Dukes; and seven sisters: Ethel Hall, Elsie Hall, Leila Kretlow, Bessie Stewart, Louella Weeks, Rose Rocheleau and Elizabeth Hiatt.
Funeral services for Mrs. Jarvis will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, March 20, 2023 at Adel First Assembly with Rev. William Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Buck Creek Church Cemetery in Colquitt County. Charlotte Dickerson will play piano and Steve Meders will sing “I Want Us to Be Together in Heaven”, “Serenaded by Angels” and Precious Memories”; Mr. Meders will also lead the congregation in the singing of “This Little Light of Mine”. Ronnie Weeks, Brian Myers, Steven Hammock, Austin Cannon, Josh Daughtry and Will Weeks will serve as pallbearers. The visitation will take place Sunday evening, March 19, 2023 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Boone Funeral Home, 1804 S. Hutchinson Ave. in Adel, Georgia.
