Pamela “Pam” Harrelson Yeager – 54 of Valdosta passed away March 14, 2023 in Baptist Medical Center, Jacksonville, FL after sudden illness. She was born on December 23, 1968 in Hahira, Ga to the late Felton and Mary (Powell) Harrelson. Pam had 3 passions in life. 1. Faith – Serving God was absolutely the most important thing in her life. She loved her church. She and JD have been very active members of Crosspointe Church and were former life group leaders. 2. Family – Next to her faith, was her family. She and JD were inseparable. They would have been married 33 years on March 24, 2023. This lifelong commitment grew their family to 3 beautiful girls and 1 grandson. 3. Career – Pam graduated from Lowndes County High School and immediately began work in the banking industry. Her journey began with First State Bank, as her career continued to progress, she was promoted to Senior Vice President at Commercial Banking Company. Due to hard work and perseverance, she was recently promoted to Market President of The First Bank in Valdosta. She considered her customers and co-workers family. Her success was due to her unwavering desire to build relationships and help others. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her 3 uncles, John Hambrick, Quillian Powell and Billy Bowman.
Survivors Include: Husband: Jimmy Don “JD” Yeager, Hahira, GA; 3 Daughters & Son-in-law: Brooke McWaters (Justin), Wahiawa, Hawaii, Morgan Yeager, Hahira, GA, Hanna Yeager, Hahira, GA; Grandson: Brayden McWaters and a soon to be grandson: Bryson McWaters; 2 Sisters & Brother-in-law: Frances & Richard Rowe, Nashville, GA, Anita & Tim Watson, Lakeland, GA; Father-in-law & Mother-in-law: Don & Belinda Yeager, Hahira, GA; Sister-in-law & Brother-in-law: Leanne & Herb Bennett, Hahira, GA and a number of nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Pam’s life will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, March 19, 2023 in the Crosspointe Church, 4100 N. Valdosta Road, Valdosta, GA 31602. A private burial will be held in Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday evening, March 18, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Crosspointe Church.
