Mary Carrell Morrison, 84, of Nashville, died Friday March 10, 2023 at her residence.
She was born January 3, 1939 in Butler, GA to the late Terrell Jordan Smith and the late Mary Elizabeth Carrell Smith. She was the secretary/treasurer for Morrison’s Home Center for 25 years and a member of the Nashville First Baptist Church. She graduated from Berrien High School Class of 1957, attended Florida State University and graduated from Valdosta State College. She loved her flowers, plants, working in the yard and traveling. However, most important in her life was family and she showed that love every day. She was very proud to be from Berrien County and shared with everyone. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter: Margaret Elizabeth Morrison and an infant son: John Joshua Morrison.
She is survived by her husband: Kenton Andrew “Andy” Morrison of Nashville; daughter: Susan (Mike) McCranie of Nashville; son: Ken (Dawn) Morrison of Adel; brother: Terry (Mary) Smith of Valdosta; 5 grandchildren: Ivy (Jack) Lindsey of Nashville, Catherine McCranie (Jackson Pegg) of Valdosta, Joe McCranie of Jacksonville, FL, Andreu Morrison of Adel and Jackson Morrison of Adel; a great granddaughter: Slaton Lindsey; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday March 13, 2023 at 2 PM in the Nashville First Baptist Church with the Rev. Stanley Luke officiating. Interment will follow in the Westview cemetery. Visitation is Sunday from 6 to 8 PM at Lovein funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Nashville First Baptist Church.
