Coffee County School Principal Arrested by GBI

COFFEE COUNTY, Georgia – Anastagia Carter ( 51) of Douglas has been charged with two (2) counts of 1st Degree Cruelty to a Child, two (2) counts of 3rd Degree Cruelty to a Child, two (2) counts of False Imprisonment, and two (2) counts of Simple Battery and arrested. The charges and arrest stem from incidents that occurred at Indian Creek Elementary School in Douglas.
Earlier this month, the Coffee County Board of Education Police Department requested the help of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI). They made the request after they received information regarding an incident between Principal Carter and a student. During the GBI’s investigation, Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s (GBI) agents also learned of a second related student incident.
