By Carol A. Gasser Moore

BERRIEN COUNTY, Georgia – Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) detectives are working to identify a body found Saturday afternoon near SR-122 and Possum Creek Road in Berrien County.

Berrien County Sheriff’s Department responded to a report of a body in an area near the intersection on property owned by Shiloh Pecan Farms.

The body was discovered in a wooded area that had underbrush burned and just next to the SR-122 bar ditch.

An investigation has ensued, since the body’s discovery.  Berrien County Sheriff’s deputies were seen at the location in an area cordoned off by yellow “Police Line Do Not Cross” tape. A body laying face up could be seen from the road.

Since the body was found, Berrien County Sheriff Ray Paulk has requested the assistance of the GBI, who has taken over the investigation.  The investigation is ongoing, and an autopsy has been scheduled.

It wasn’t covered so as not to disturb any possible evidence until the investigating team could get there. I’m sure the body didn’t care if it was covered or not.

You are a LIAR. It wasn’t a woman. Stop trying to stir up crap. They did exactly what they were SUPPOSED to do. Do not disturb the body or the scene until it can be processed. YOU are what’s wrong with the world today.

Any information on the body found? Male-Female?
    Possible hit-and-run?

LCN unofficial news source seems to be male. It is unlikely to be a hit and run. Body appeared placed in location. The GBI is involved for those reasons. Waiting on GBI release of information.

The GBI is saying the body was that of a male. If what an earlier response stated, the male body should have been covered as well. Every Body deserves decency!!
