NWS Confirms EF-2 Tornado Hit Cook County on a 6-Year Tornado Anniversary

ADEL, Georgia –Winds of 115 m.p.h. were experienced in Cook County on Sunday evening.  The National Weather Service (NWS) has confirmed that Sunday’s tornado in Cook County was an EF-2 tornado.  The tornado was on the ground for about 8 minutes, measured about 80 yards wide and stayed on the ground about 5.91 miles.
