Ordinance Confusion and Contradictions Occurred in Ray City This Week

RAY CITY, Georgia – Ordinance enforcement continues to be contradictory in Ray City this week.  Officer James Manit, a full-time police officer with the Ray City Police Department, made his rounds.  Manit identified a burn barrel sitting on Ray City property as being in violation of the city’s ordinance regarding where citizens may burn trash as well as in violation of a Georgia state law which states that no fire may be left unattended for any length of time.
