New 2022 LCHS Homecoming Schedule

By Carol A. Gasser Moore

LAKELAND, Georgia – LCHS (Lanier County High School) Principal Reada Hamm has notified the LCN (Lanier County News) that inclement weather predictions for Thursday and Friday has prompted a change in its Homecoming 2022 schedule.  Both the 2022 LCHS Homecoming Parade and the LCHS vs. Pelham Football Game have been rescheduled for today, Wednesday, September 28th.

The LCHS Parade is now scheduled to start this evening at 6:00 PM.  on Wednesday, September 28th today.  Hamm has advised the LCN that the parade’s line-up will begin at the High School gym at 5:30 pm.  The parade’s floats will be judged beginning at 5:45 pm.

As the LCN understands the parade route, the parade will exit the Lanier County Elementary School bus access road left onto S. Valdosta Rd. The parade will turn right by the Lakeland Post Office onto Murrell Street.  The route will continue to S. Oak Street where it is scheduled to make a left onto Oak Street next to Fender Motors.  The course is scheduled to proceed down Main Street and turn left (south) by the Huddle House at Pafford St.   It then ends at Roquemore Football Stadium at the Lanier County High School (52 W. Patten Ave.).

It is also the understanding of the Lanier County News that while Homecoming activities previously scheduled for Thursday and Friday have been consolidated and moved to Wednesday, September 28th, the LCHS Homecoming Dance is still scheduled for Saturday, September 31 at the high school.

Principal Reada Hamm encourages area LCHS Bulldog fans to “Come cheer on the Bulldogs as they take on the Pelham Hornets at Roquemore Stadium Wednesday, September 30, with kickoff at 7:30pm.”
