IMPORTANT NOTICE TO LCN READERS and SUBSCRIBERS
A Notice From Carol A. Gasser Moore, LCN Publisher
Here we are with 2020 ajar. Some didn’t think the Lanier County News (LCN) would make it this far.
Many things have changed. So has the news. Information is coming in so fast and considering the fluidity of the COVID-19 health crisis, we want to be able to bring you the most up-to-date information as rapidly as possible.
In order to keep our readers informed as quickly and accurately as possible, we are suspending our weekly print edition and going totally digital due to the possibility that many of our retail vendors may not be available to distribute our print edition to our readers.
This is a temporary change and current print subscribers will be given user names and passwords enabling them to access and read our e-edition for the remainder of their subscription, plus an extra month free.
Subscribers to the e-edition will also have access to past editions of LCN. Also e-edition subscriptions are less expensive than subscriptions to the print edition. Full access to the LCN e-edition is only $20 per year or $10 for 6 months.
The pages will be in PDF format and will look just like the print edition.
Since there is so much to report these days, we may publish an e-edition more than once per week in order to better inform our readers!
Readers and subscribers also have easy access online to our laniercountynewsonline.com website. If you have not checked it out yet, we’d encourage to do so. Under ‘News’ you will find a link to ‘Research Documents’. This allows readers to quickly find support information, especially that which is obtained by LCN under Open Records Request. This will give readers an added dimension to information and let everyone know what our writers gather to verify information in stories.
If you are a Facebook reader, we invite you to follow Lanier County News on Facebook for more information relating to this change in distribution. The vast majority of our readers now are either through our Lanier County News homepage or through our Facebook page and the numbers are growing daily!
Thank you for your support and interest in our news! It’s been gratifying to hear overhear discussions connected to our news reporting as our writers stand in line at counters and circulate in businesses.
