Lanier County High School Student Winner of Georgia Day 2021 Art Conest!
LANIER COUNTY, Georgia – Jon Moore, son of Carol and the late Peter Moore, learned he was the artist with the Best Overall Art for the 2021 Georgia Day State Art Competition.
Jon is a regularly featured cartoonist with his cartoon strip, “Jon the Scout” which appears in yourNEWS.com & Moore and the Lanier County News weekly.
Moore demonstrated an interest in art at a very early age. He has been a student at Turner Art Center on and off since 2014, a student of LCES & LCMS art teacher Cyndy Lyons, a student of LCMS & LCHS art teacher Becky Kluball, and a private art student of cartoonist Cliff Ulmer.
