Recalling Ashley Badillo, Well Known Citizen About Town
2012 LCHS Graduate’s Life Cut Short
By Carol A. Gasser Moore
LAKELAND, Georgia – Anyone who knew Ashley Badillo can vouch to his honesty. He tended towards a slightly reserved nature, until he got to know you. Badillo could be cautious, honorable and strong-willed. Ashley’s qualities were evident just as much in his youth as they were when he reached adulthood. This 2012 graduate of Lanier County High School is missed, particularly as the tragic news that we’ve lost a life that most which most of us “locals” knew. Knowing Ashley makes this time of the coronavirus epidemic more menacing, since it has taken ‘one of our own’ so well known and loved citizens! After a very short illness, Ashley died Monday, July 13th at the University Of Florida Shands Hospital at age 26. His life was dearly valued by all and is sorely missed now.
