AsTAs of Monday,p June 1st,c / deaths for each of the South Health District of the Georgia Department of Public Health are as follows:  Ben Hill – 76/1; Berrien – 49/0; Brooks – 69/8;  Cook – 47/2; Echols – 119/0; Irwin – 30/1; Lowndes – 316/4; Tift – 266/16; and Turner – 125/13.

The most dramatic increase has been in Echols County when it went from  5 cases to 100  cases in about 15 days, after only reporting 5 cases for almost 2 months.  This dramatic increase occurred in large part due to the fact that migrant workers living in that area and working in agriculture had not been tested.  Once one tested positive, the number jumped from 5 around May 4th to 100 by May 28th.
