May is National Foster Care Month: Lanier County Needs Your Care and Your Help

LAKELAND, GEORGIA – Lanier County has exactly four (4) foster homes and 32 children who are “in care”. Mayor Darsey noted in this week’s City Council meeting that domestic violence is up during this time as the Governor’s Executive Orders continue to discourage people from getting outside of their homes except in the most extreme necessity reasons. Lanier County citizens are needed to become foster parents for children who need foster care.
