Public Comment Period Now Open: Regulation Changes-Alligator Season
GEORGIA – The Georgia Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has announced that hunters and other interested parties have a public comment period in which they can express their thoughts regarding alligator hunting. The question is whether or not to accept input on proposed changes to hunting regulations. The comment time is now open. Proposed changes include:
- streamlining the department’s alligator harvest reporting system;
- expand alligator harvest opportunity to include Fort Stewart;
- adjust hunting opportunities on a couple of state-managed public lands;
