Leon Earl Skinner – 86
Of Homerville, GA passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2020 at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. He was born on July 28, 1933 in Nashville, GA to the late John and Leilar (Stone) Skinner. He was a fork lift mechanic with Brockway Standard for over 28 years. Mr. Skinner loved to fish, hunt and eat but if had a choice between all three he would fish. He loved to work in his gardens. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two of his sons, Ricky Skinner and Mitchell Skinner; his only sister, Dorothy Fania; four of his brothers, James Skinner, J.S. Skinner, Larry Skinner and Danny Skinner.
Survivors include his Wife of 65 years, Ruth Skinner of Homerville, GA; Daughters and Sons-in-Law, Barbara and Mike Martinez of Homerville, GA, Peggy and Sherman Bennett of Astor, FL, Ellie and David Stone of Atlanta, GA; Sons and Daughters-in-Law, Glenn and Robin Skinner of Lakeland, GA, John and Stephanie Skinner of Lakeland, GA; Daughter-in-law, Virginia Skinner of Lakeland, GA; Fourteen Grandchildren; Numerous Great Grandchildren; Brothers and Sisters-in-Law, Robert and Edwina Skinner of Lakeland, GA, Kenneth and Ann Skinner of Nashville, GA; And a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held 3:00 PM on Sunday, February 23, 2020 in the Lakeland Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in Arabia Cemetery, Clinch County, GA.
