Praise Goes Out to the Lanier County Sheriff’s Office

Lanier / Lowndes Counties – The thoroughness of both deputies and investigators working a Lanier County resident incident are notable. An incident near Highway 168 and River Road on Rowe Road began Saturday night and continued into Sunday morning. Lanier County officers work diligently throughout the day on Sunday and Monday in an attempt to interview those present and confirm the accounts they had received from each. An altercation was reported to have occurred in the roadway in front of the house between two people, who were related by marriage. One of the men was shot and killed.
